My God-Daughter is gonna be 10!!

I can't believe that my BFs daughter is gonna be 10!!I feel old! Lucy will be 10 next year too....where are the years going!!
Anyway I have given her the crafting bug so I was told by her that her card had to be fabulous!lol
I have made this bag-o-lope (there are tutorials out there...I can't remember where I found it, sorry) from a brown envelope and I have filled it with some card making goodies for her as a little extra to go with her pressie....she is also book mad so we got her a couple of books and a DVD This is full of some stamped images....she is always having a look thru all my stamps! I made it with toilet roll tubes...and filled each one with a different image

And this is her card......I hope it is fabulous enough for her! I have used all 3 of my gorjuss girls, coloured with greys and rose pink Pms....I have used my watercolour pencils for their hair as I just can't get black hair to look right when I use my PMs. A huge black flower with a big pink brad and some tulle (which you can't actually see in the pic)that I have coloured black and some dots and ribbon to finish it off.

She is having a sleepover on Saturday with a Pushing Daisies theme, she is so gutted that they are not making it anymore! Think I might have to go and make a pie to take over heehee! Her mum is getting her a cake made to look like a cherry lattice pie can't wait to see it!

Passion for Promarkers #14

Here is my entry for Passion for Promarkers number 14! The colours to use are Lilac, Lavender, Amethyst and Aubergine, You can use a minimum of 2 or all of them the choice is yours! I have gone for all of them with my Dress up Maggie stamp! For some reason I don't seem to have any purpley patterned papers.....I will have to rectify that on payday!lol.....I used my grunge stamp to jazz up the plain card and I did manage to find the spotty paper in my scrap box and a bit of ribbon from my stash....Oh and the sentiment is from Stamping All Day.

Three 90th Birthday Cards

These are the 3 cards I was asked to make for a workmate to give to her Grandma for her 90th birthday, she wanted one for her Mum to give, one for her and one for her kids to give.....so it was quite a challenge to come up with 3 different cards, I think I have managed it!

Aw took Lucy to see Harry Potter yesterday ( I wanted to see it too lol)! I cried when Dumbledore died :0(. I love the HP films as soon as I hear the music start the hairs on the back of my neck stand up! Can't wait for the next one!!

Papertake Weekly Challenge #100!!

This is my card for the 100th challenge over on Papertake Weekly where you could pick any of the previous 99 challenges! I have picked the challenge from the 15th October 2007 Krazy Kidz Kardz! And I have also used one of the sketches but I can't remember which weeks one, sorry! The paper which I love is from Cosmocricket, I have used both sides for this card, the image is from the cbeebies website and coloured with PMs and I printed off the sentiment from the computer.

PFP Challenge #13! BOO!!

This is my entry for the challenge over at Passion for Promarkers...this week it is Prussian and Pumpkin with the added theme of Halloween!!!! Now I was gonna give it a miss cos I have nothing at all in my cubby which is Halloween related but Debbi had a fab link over to Hellokids.com and they had some cute little colouring images for kids so I have used one of them (hope you don't mind Debbi!) and I also found a pumpkin image on the web for my pumpkin patch. I cut the ends of some flowers and twirled them to place in my patch, some ribbon from my stash and a sentiment printed off from my computer....done!

Made a Card woohoo

Finally got a bit of time in my cubby the other day to make this card for hubby to send to his mate, The papers are dovecraft I think, buttons I made from scraps of card and the sentiment I did on the computer and the image is from Digistamp Boutique.

I have been asked to make 3 cards for a ninetieth birthday! It has been quite a challenge to come up with three cards all different!! It is too dark now to get a good pic so I will post them up tomorrow.

Jude did well at school yesterday and managed to eat all her packed lunch at playtime and had to be taken for a school dinner!lol She was a bit weepy today going in again but I think it is just the volume of people about in the playground cos she is fine when she gets into class.

Anyway I am off to work on my card for the Promarker Challenge......Halloween theme!!

Judes First Day at School!! Tears!!

Well that's Jude away to school, she has been soooo excited and then when we turned up this morning and she saw all the kids and all the Mums and Dads she totally freaked and wouldn't let go of my leg! I feel so awful leaving her there!:0( she was in tears. What makes it harder is the fact that there are too many P1s this year so Jude and 4 others have been put in with the P2s, I had to just take her into the classroom and then sneak of when she wasn't looking, poor wee thing I am going to worry about her all day now, my little baby! So now I am sitting in the empty house not knowing what to do with myself lol! Speak to you all later!

Promarker Challenge #12

To follow on from my post below I thought I would give you all a giggle.......I dug out one of our wedding pics..............omg I look sooo young and thin!!!!lol I have had a couple of glasses of bubbly with dinner and I feel a bit tipsy! We are going out for dinner next weekend, just too much on just now with moving the girls back into their rooms and getting organised for going back to school on Tuesday. Anyway this is my entry for the Promarker Challenge #12 Cocoa and Rose Pink

The papers are Doodlebug and the image is Ketto Suzette which is from my stash that I bought over in Alford. I have edged the flowers with some glitter glue and the button is from my stash. I have also used my new dewdrop gems from Tabbycraft.The inside I have decorated with some offcuts

Anyway off to enjoy some more bubbly!

Our Anniversary!! And Judes Mirror

Today is our Wedding Anniversary......12 years! I can't believe that many years have gone by! There is a lovely bottle of bubbly cooling in the fridge for later mmmmmm.

This is the mirror I did for Judes new room...it was a boring old antique pine one that has been kicking about for ages, I just gave it a few licks of white paint, found some pink flowers and some of my new dewdrops that I got from Tabs Store and tarted it up a bit....and she loves it!! It has given her even more of an excuse to pose infront of the mirror which is her favourite hobby at the moment! Piccies aren't great cos I was trying to avoid the reflection in the mirror!!





Poor thing still just has a mattress, her bed is STILL out of stock, but she really really wants it so she says she will wait. It is a lovely bed it is white with a pink tent underneath and pink pockets on the side... can you see the theme in this room lol!!

My Promarker Challenge card still isn't finished, gonna try and get in my cubby later and get it done..........it's needing a bit of a tidy up in there too!!

Working on a Card!!

Hi All!
I am currently working on my card for the Passion for Promarkers challenge, but I just had to post up these piccies I took the other day from the girls new rooms, it was such a lovely day! This first one is the view from Judes room which has the existing window............................. and this is the view Lucy has from her bed from the new window.....the first hill is called Melantee and behind that is Ben Nevis, you can't make it out in the photo but on a day like that you can see the path and people walking up the Ben!

I have also finished blinging up a mirror for Judes room......just waiting for the glue to dry before I take a pic!

Long Time No Post!

MMMMmmmm Seems my signature at the bottom of my posts has disappeared?

Anyway it has been ages since I have posted! But the good news is that the girls rooms are ready and last night was their first night sleeping in their own rooms!! The beds still haven't come yet so they are sleeping on the mattresses just now, hopefully they will arrive soon and I will put some pics up to bore you all!

These are the canvases that we made for Lucy's room, she picked out 3 colours from her bedding set and painted them and left me to decorate them with my skully stamps from Stamping Bella. I have used some black glitter glue on the skull eyes and glued on some black stars. I think they have come out quite well! We did have a minor disaster though when they were sitting on the dining table waiting for the glue to dry...Jude decided to go up to the table to eat her satsuma and the juice squirted right across the table and landed on the turquoise one! It is not too noticeable tho!

Piccies a bit small sorry.......this was for my pals wee girl....got the lola pic from the cbeebies website (cheers Debbi).......I made it in a rush so I can't remember all the details sorry! She was delighted with it and the party was great!
I am hoping that once the kids go back to school next week I will get a couple of hours before going to work to get some cards made I have really missed it with all the work going on!

Been Naughty!

Been a bit naughty again.....this is my stash I ordered the other day from Tabby Crafts...think I am getting a bit of an addiction to paper! Just can't help myself!! I got some lovely papers, tulle ribbon and some lace ribbon.....excellent store Tab and it arrived really quickly too!:0)

As our guy was here working today putting the doors to the girls rooms in I managed to get a couple more cards done while the girls were playing on the Wii and of all things my box of punches...they sat for ages punching loads of shapes out!

This one has the first outing for my new doily punch! Don't look too closely at the colouring...it is one of my earlier ones from when I first got my PMs. I have used mainly scraps to make this card, gonna try and use more up I have a whole tub full of little offcuts. The big brown flower at the back is actually the wrapping from a ferrero rocher! How sad am I? I was more excited about taking it home to use it than I was at eating the choccie!!

Don't look to close at this one either as the glue is still wet lol! The light is fading fast here and I wanted to post it tonight so had to take the pic when it was still wet. Was trying to go for a simple elegant look?....not sure tho. Really just wanted to have a play with my new tulle ribbon!

Yummy New Stash!!

This is my lovely new stash that I got at the beautiful Simply Create in Alford. We were over in Aboyne taking my Mum to my sisters and she took me up to the shop..........it's a gorgeous shop! I treated myself to some lovely papers and some stamp pads and a Ketto girl stamp and my sis bought me two ketto stamps one of bees and one of skulls. She will be getting a little wish list from me at christmas time!lol No more cards yet as we are still trying to get the girls room finished, Lucy's room is all painted, just the woodwork to do and Judes room needs one more coat and the woodwork and then we can get the carpets down........can't wait to get it finished and them back in before they go back to school...only 2 weeks left! Boohoo :0(

I have found a big mirror that I am going to paint white and bling up with flowers and stuff for Judes room and I am going to make some canvases for Lucys room.
