Sugar Bowl #58

Managed to squeeze some time in to make this card for challenge 58 over at The Sugar Bowl....Marlene has a lovely sketch to follow this week with the added option on buttons.
The paper I think is Basic Grey...I cut it up and threw away the bottom bit!
The flowers are my new purchase from Crafty Emma's Store I used my Promarker to colour the yellow ones.

Thanks for popping by!

WOYWW #99

First off I would like to thank everyone for the Birthday wishes.....I had a great day and the sun is still shining here in the Fort....always does seem to make an appearance once the kids go back to school!
Well Wednesday has rolled around again, time to open the cupboard door and let you all have a peek! My desk for today...tidier than last week...colouring some images for a card to enter in the challenge on the Simply Sassy blog...if you win then your coloured image is put into the blog header!! Not quite finished yet that's why I have hidden it! You can see all the details here!
My two new Sassy's are there that I got for my birthday...don't want to put them away just yet...like to look at them!  Pretty boring desk today really so I will leave you with  pic of Bella who came out to pose for me!  They are loads more friendly now...they actually sat still to let me clip their nails the other day!
Happy WOYWW!!XX

Anyone for tea?

Well it has been a beautiful day!  Phil was right,  although the day did start off a bit grey by lunchtime the sky was blue and the sun was shining!!

The girls gave me Butterflies and Pigtails and Rapunzel for my birthday....my two very most favourite ones from the newest Simply Sassy range...they will be getting inked up tonight!
Here is my table all set for afternoon tea....Mum's tea set....had to be extra careful as it was the one she got for her wedding all those years ago....this is kinda making me sound quite old?!! (I am only 39!....there said it really quietly!)
lots of lovely home baking courtesy of my Mum...the empire biscuits,  My lovely Hubby...the banana bread and the scones,  and I made the pancakes!  I my best buddy Gail brought round some homemade puff candy! yum!! ( this is my lovely new cake stand that the girls gave me for mothers day...you can't see in the pic but it has lovely pink roses all over it!)

Tonight we will be having a lovely takeaway curry as today also marks 16 years since our first date! Can you guess?  We went for a curry!!  He also proposed while we were out for a curry!! Can you see a theme here in our house!!lol....I didn't tell him it was my birthday when he first asked me out cos I thought that would be a bit cheeky..... like he should get me a pressie!
Enjoy your evening...back to school and work tomorrow for us!

Happy Easter....

I hope you are all having better weather than us!.... we are having a drab and dreich Easter here in Fort William....which is a wee bit depressing after it was soooo lovely Thursday and Friday!  Phil is full of confidence that it is going to clear up and he reckons it will be beautiful tomorrow for my birthday!! ...I won't hold my breath!  I have a lovely afternoon tea planned, I am going to do some baking and I have my lovely new two tier cake stand that the girls gave me for Mothers Day!!  Dear me that makes me sound old!

Anyway I won't bore you any longer and I shall leave you with a card....this was a quick little one...my Mum asked  for a card for her friend so came up with this.....lots of little flowers punched out and a little sparkle added to their middles.
Enjoy your eggs!!

A Grand Day Out!!

It's Phil's birthday today...and a beautiful day too.  So he decided that a day out at the beach was called for!
It really is a gorgeous run out to Arisaig...should have stopped to take some pics....you are amongst the hills and mountains then you come round the bend and you can see the sea!  I still shout out...makes me feel like a kid again!  The only bummer is now that they have improved the road (it used to be single track most of the way and it is much better) we don't go over the little stone bridge that my dear old Dad always told us was the fairy bridge and on the way out  we would all shout out "hello Fairies!" and the on the way home "goodbye Fairies"..makes me feel a bit sad as it will be ten years this August since he died.....he would always come up with things to distract us and stop us getting bored on car journeys.

We bought this little beach shelter when we went to Cornwall last year...great for me... being a ginger I burn way too easily!lol

Took this one just before we left....the girls didn't want to leave!

WOYWW #98

And Wednesday has come round again...although I did miss it last week...mainly cos there was nothing on my desk to take a pic of!
This week I am in the middle of a card...not for anyone...just one for me!  I had coloured the little sassy girl the other day...yellow, not a colour I usually use, but I was just playing and liked the end result...then discovered that I didn't have any papers to match!  Well very conveniently we took the girls up to Inverness to the cinema.... a little detour on the way home and I had some lovely new papers...and a new Distress ink...and a few other things that jumped into my hands! (it was a little birthday pressie from me to me!)
Come on over to Julia's place and join the fun!

Luv a Latte.........

Back from a brilliant weekend away...Peter Kay was absolutely brilliant!! My face is still sore from laughing so much...he put on a great show!
We went out for dinner to La Tasca...which was delish, I have never had tapas before but it was great!! And we had a couple of jugs of sangria...yum...definately going to try making some for those lovely summer nights we are going to have.......me being ever hopeful!
This is the card that I sent to Ali my swap partner from the card swap that Krista arranged...the first inking for my Luv a Latte girl!
My lovely Hubby has just said he will buy me some of the new Sassys for the girls to give me for my birthday next week!! He must have felt sorry for me drooling over them on the blog hop heehee

So excited!

Just waiting for our friends to pick us up and then we are off to Glasgow to the SECC to see Peter Kay!!
See you all tomorrow night!x

Romantic Dreamer.....

This is the result of my playtime today in my cupboard!
Think I might be finally mastering colouring black hair, what do you think?
The lovely paper is from my Dovecraft Funky Vintage 6x6 pad...I have added some flowers which I don't tend to do very often...not sure if it is a bit overloaded?  And those little pearls in the corner do match in real life!!

This card is available for sale on Ebay

Last ones!

These are the last of the mammoth card making sessions I have had for the last couple of weeks!
Loving being off as I am getting loads of time to play in my cubbie while the girls watch DVDs...the weather here is horrible after the beautiful weekend, always seems to be like this as soon as the school breaks up!
Never mind, only 3 sleeps till Phil and I go to see Peter Kay at the SECC !..Both our birthdays are at the end of the month so we decided this would be our birthday treat and we are staying in the lush Crowne Plaza!...and the girls?? well they go to Grannies and get spoilt rotten!lol
Thanks for looking!x

Sugar Nellie Facebook Challenge

Woohoo another challenge entered! This time over on Facebook, there was a lovely pic for inspiration.

Doesn't it look yummy!!

I painted this girl the other night with my Distress inks.....thought she would go quite well with this freebie paper.  I have added a little strawberry charm attached with a safety pin and some of that lovely seam binding.
Thanks for looking!x

Sugar Bowl Challenge...

Love the holidays as it means I have a bit more me-time to have a play and enter some challenges and one of my favourites is The Sugar Bowl
There is one of Maria's lovely sketches and a theme of purple and green.
I have used Hippie Chick and coloured her with my promarkers......I did this out in the garden yesterday with Jude advising me on which colours would be good to use!
I don't have a scallop edge die yet so I cut out some circles from the backing paper and stuck them on the  back.

Another Four...........

Told you I'd be back with more of my orders!
Well after the gorgeous weekend here in Fort William, woke up this morning to heavy rain...but it does look like it may clear up for the afternoon...that's what I'm going to keep telling myself anyway!
Back later!

Sunday 10 April 2011

What a loverly day.....

...spent sitting in the garden with Jude colouring in...even trusted her with my precious Promarkers! The garden is starting to wake up...loads of buds everywhere!

Felt sorry for this little chappie though...took him a while to figure out it wasn't a real flower!!

Some of my orders......

Rather than do a separate post for each card, I have just lumped some of them together as there are quite a few to show you!
The weather here in Fort William has been fab here for the last few days so I am off out to the garden...might take my pens out with me and colour in!  And we are now on holiday for the next two weeks so hopefully this weather will last!
Enjoy your Sunday!x

Friday 8 April 2011

I can post this now

as I know that Krista has received it!... I loved her post about colouring the Sassy's to make them look all zombie-ish ....have a look here....so had a few practices before coming up with this one!  I added a few rips to her clothes and a wee spider...although looking at it it should be blowing in the breeze like her hair!

Now my girls couldn't just sit and watch me they had to have a go..Lucy has done a fab job of her zombie!

Jude was having none of the zombieness and she decided that she wanted to try drawing one of the girls herself.....she has done pretty well considering she is only 6!

Wednesday 6 April 2011

WOYWW..............

Bit messy today!......All my card orders are finished and delivered so I have been colouring in!
There is also a drawer full of numbers that I am going to sort out into each number as I am fed up raking through trying to find the number I need!  A job for Jude I think...she loves doing things like that, she sat for ages once sorting out all my brads for me!
The coaster on the right is one Lucy made for me when she was 3...it's a drawing of a penguin...she is gonna be 11 in a few weeks!!
Head on over to Julia's place to join in the fun!

P.S (Ali can you see your card?!! I love it!)
