I am still here!..........

I am still here!...where does the time go??!! These are the only cards I have made these past couple of weeks ...made using this months DT kit from Simpy Create. These gorgeous papers and stamps are from Glitz Design

Must dash...last day of school tomorrow so just got to wrap the teacher gifts!
If I am not back later I would like to wish all you lovely ladies out there in blogland a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!XX

Jacqui has posted up some pics of the new Simply Create store (looking gorgeous Jacqui!)  click here to go for a nosey!

Last Calendar.....

Here is the final calendar I have made for teacher gifts this year....think I will try and make some of these to sell next Christmas! Do you think?
The paper is from a freebie Kate Knight pad...the pale lilac flowers I made myself from ribbon and all the other bits are from my stash.

Tim's Tag no 9

Well here is my feeble attempt at Sir Tim's tag from yesterday!!  I don't have the music stamp....so used some music paper. I don't have that fab rosette flower die...so just folded the paper by hand (what a fiddly job!) I don't have a alphabet die...so just used a stamp!  I did have some tulle and some fancy buttons though!!
I do hope Santa brings me some goodies under the tree....might help if I get OH to read this!
I'm off to have a look at his tag for today!

12 Tags of Christmas.....

Well Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of Christmas has got me well and truly hooked!.....my wishlist for Santa is getting longer everyday as I have hardly and Timmie stuff :0(
So bearing that in mind please let me know what you think of my first attempt...it bears no resemblance to any of his 7 tags but I have tried a few of his techniques! I bought these luggage tags in WHSmiths for just over a quid and there are 20 in a pack!
I'm off to see what else I can come up with!

Christmas Candle....

BRrrrrrrr -8 here today!!
Finally found some time to finish off the candle I started the other day...using my gorgeous Sugar Nellie stamp.  It does have a lovely Noel stamped on the back but the bloomin' batteries went on the camera and could I find any new ones!! Better stock up on them before Santa comes with all the pressies that require them!
Hope you are all keeping warm!

Simply Sassy Competition......

OOoooo check out the competition over on the Sugar Nellie Blog!! What an amazing prize!!!!

You have make a white on white card focusing on the colouring of these beautiful Sassy girl stamps....I love them all!! I only have the first set...but I am hoping that Santa will leave me some more under the tree!

BBRRRRRRRRR.........................

Well we have a distinct lack of snow here in Fort William....It's not even worth taking the measuring tape out  the drawer!...but I have still decided to play along over at Kath's place....she is running a little competition to see who has the most snow.....now I hear you all saying that I have no chance...but I am hoping Kath will feel sorry for this poor little soul below.......

She stayed out too late last night playing and now she is frozen solid!

We have what looks like wet slushy snow, but it is sooooo cold here it has frozen solid and it's pretty treacherous....there are a few schools closed because the buses are only getting through on the main roads! Not the girls school though much to their dismay...it's only a 5 min walk away!

It's up!!

Tis done!!...the girls have done a grand job of decorating the tree this afternoon....it feels lovely and cosy in the living room now!
My only problem now is the tree blocks my view of the telly when I am in my cupboard!!
Enjoy your Saturday night !
See that little bare patch...the tiny little one!! Thats where we are!!!! The girls got so excited yesterday when it started to snow...but this morning it has all but gone!
So to compensate for no sledging or snowballing we are going to put the Christmas tree up this afternoon!
Will be back later!

Snow?.......

Well everyone seems to be sharing their snowy pics....so here is my disappointing contribution!..... it is about -8 if that is any consolation for all you folks snowed in...at least you get to stay in the warm, we have no excuse to stay in!lol! The forecasters are saying that there is snow due here tomorrow so here's hoping!! The girls are desperate to get out sledging!
Keep warm everyone!

WOYWW.......

Told you it would be tidied up!! I did it that same night....couldn't stand it any longer!
All that is here now are the candles that I am decorating for the teacher pressies....and some little cardboard tubes that are drying..........you will have to wait to see what I do with those!  Stay tuned!
Get over to Julias and have a nose round some fab workspaces!
We are still waiting for some snow here in Fort William....there seems to be a bubble over us and we are getting none...which the girls are totally gutted about! We were in Glasgow at the weekend visiting relatives and it took us nearly 8 hours to get home...normally only takes 2 to 3 hours! we were driving down some pretty dodgy roads to try and get home as the two main roads were closed, then as soon as we got to Glencoe the snow disappeared!
Stay safe and warm wherever you are!
xx

WOYWW #77!

Well it's been a few weeks since I joined in the fun with Julia over on  WOYWW and for those who remember me and my neatness lol,  you are in for a treat today.....I have lapsed....as a result of trying to finish too many things at the same time! But do not fear I will be off to tidy it up as soon as I have finished this post!

I don't even know where to start!....on the middle of my desk are the desk calendars I am making for the girls teachers...there is one finished on my previous post if you want a nosey.  The rest is all bits and pieces of Christmas cards finished and ones still in production!
It is bitterly cold here in Fort William...I think the snow is on its way!! I am off for a nice cup of coffee before I head to work!

How is this for a Gift?

Well its that time of year again and I have come up with an idea for the girls teachers gifts...last year I made some Christmas baubles......this year I wanted to do something different but that wouldn't take a lot of time as I am seriously short of it just now!!
So I found these little frames in Ikea ...3 in a pack...and came up with this....

I painted the frame with white paint and then used Walnut Stain to distress it all over...then using some scraps covered the front and distressed some more!  I used my Timmie flower die and some little flowers and skeleton leaves to embellish the corner.
Do you think it is an okay thing to give??
Any Teachers out there would this be something that you would like for your desk? Or should I just make Baubles again?

Better get a move on!

Just checked my Christmas card box and I still need to make another 30 cards...so better get my bum shifted and stop playing about with my new stamps!!   But I just couldn't resist them!!
Its very stormy here today in the Fort...all sorts of things blowing past the window...I really don't want to go out!
