Great day had by all!!

A lovely day was had by all and the girls were delighted with all their pressies!! Lucy thought it was a good idea to wake up at 4!!...we sent her back to bed and then she got up again at 5!..she did eventually fall back to sleep then we had to wake her just after 8 when Jude woke up! All those pressies and they took no time at all to rip them all open!

MY PRESSIE!!!! my lovely hubby got me the Big Shot and my sis got me all the Stamping Bella stuff....she lives not far from Simply Create in Alford...the most gorgeous shop ever!

A Very Merry Christmas!!

Firstly I apologise for the pics, I have only just finished some of them and had to take the pictures in my cubby cos that was the brightest place!

These are the Christmas Baubles I made for Jude to give her 2 teachers and her 2 classroom assistants.....and my first attempt at a candle which I made for Lucy to give her teacher! It looks better in real life...a bit pale in the pic! I am really pleased with how it came out....and it was so easy! I am entering these in the Passion for Promarkers Mega Christmas Challenge which is anything but a card with a Christmas or New Year theme!








My cupboard doors are definately closed now!

Thanks for all the lovely comments on my previous post...it is a lovely place to live although pretty cold tonight...the forecast is for -14 tonight!! On the way to school the girls found some strange tracks in the snow which I later found out on my way to work was from a little deer that had wandered down to the crescent and was wandering further along amongst the trees beside the bridge!

Well the girls were delighted this morning when they woke up to this! It has been a few years since we have had a good snowfall like this!

These are some of my card orders that I finished at the weekend!(there were more but I didn't get a chance to get pics!) I am not going to waffle too much about them cos there are loads...you do not want to see the state of my cubby now!lol I have shut the door to it and I am not going back in til after Christmas!!

We have had a wee bit of snow here today..so the girls are getting very excited...it has been a few years since we have had a white Christmas here!

So Sorry

Guys I am so sorry I am such a bad blogger of late...there is just not enough hours in the day just now! I have been making some cards and I will get them posted up soon...I am also going to be having a go at decorating some candles for the girls teacher pressies...if they work out I will post some pics! Must dash now pressies to wrap and cards to write...I have actually relented and bought a box of cards .....WHAT I hear you all cry how could you!!!...I just haven't got enough made and I have decided not to get stressed about trying to get more made in the little time I have left....please forgive me...I promise I will start in March for next years ones!lol!

Not enough hours in the day!!

Dear me, I have so many orders for special Christmas cards just now I am struggling to find the time(these are just a few)! But I am shutting my cupboard next week and I am not taking any more orders as its gonna get hectic with school concerts and work night outs!! But I am not complaining I love this time of year!!

Made it in time for Passion for Promarkers!

Phew.....finished this in time for challenge over at PFP...this week was any colour and a theme of vintage...I hope this counts as I haven't really made any vintage style cards!

The paper is DCWV....a Sugar Nellie image which I have attempted to colour vintagey but not really done very well! The music sheet I found somewhere on the internet, sorry can't remember where, and I have stamped and embossed with some of my grunge stamps....ribbon from stash and the noel sentiment I have had kicking about for ages but I am not really very sure it goes that well! The holly I got from ebay.

Where are the weeks going?

I cannot believe how quickly the weeks are going by just now! I really thought there was another week of November left til I looked at the calendar this morning!

Anyhooo....these are a couple of baby cards I was asked to make this week...I have just kept them nice and simple...and I am pleased with the results!

I was asked to make a Top Gear themed Christmas card!...which got my brain working lol....went for a Stig theme...will post a photo next week as I haven't uploaded it from my camera yet!

We are off to Glasgow for the weekend to visit the relatives before Christmas so won't be blogging til next week now......Hope you all have a lovely weekend!!

I'm Still Here....

Gosh it is ages since I have been on!! I don't know where the last week has gone! Just got this finished in time for this weeks challenge over at Passion for Promarkers...which is to use Burnt Umber and Marsh Green. The papers are Junkitz and the image is a freebie from Kerry Steptoe, the buttons I made myself with scraps and I did some doodling to finish off!

Wedding Card

This is a card I was asked to make .......the paper is from the Laura Ashley pad I got at the SECC..the heart stamp is from a freebie set and I have used Tea Dye distress ink.....I have inked all the edges too and added some stickles.......sentiment stamp is from Stampingallday.... ribbon from stash and some pearl drops and a few diamonds to finish off!

Happy 60th

These are the two cards I was asked to make for a 60th birthday I can't remember the make of the paper I have used on these cards, the roses are from Tabby Crafts and I have added some little punched butterflies

I have used a Mo's Digital image for this one ....I love this fairy! Coloured with PMs and a little bit of stickles....I also added a couple of flowers after I had taken the pic!

I have this unmounted Sugar Nellie stamp that I have hardly used and I would like to swap it for some stamped Tilda images if anyone is interested?? Just thought it was a good way of clearing out some of my stash that I don't use!

Passion for Promarkers #25

Apologies for the pic....really dull day here and the light is awful!

Anyway this is my entry for week 25 at PFP where you can use any colour but must follow a sketch...which I love and have used it for two cards today!

The image is a freebie stamp I have had for a while coloured with sandstone, umber and pastel pink. The papers are all scraps that I have used up and some little hearts made with my punches.






This is the other card I did using the sketch again! This was a card I was asked to make for someone who is off an trip......Paddington is another freebie stamp and the earth I printed from the web and coloured with my PMs.

PfP #24 and Just Magnolia

This is the first time I have entered a card for two challenges.............but it turned out that it worked for both! The image is another one that the lovely Sarah sent me (thanks!) coloured with Canary and Grass the required colours for this weeks challenge over at PFP......and Just Magnolia want to see distressing....every edge has been distressed and had a little bit of stickles added for some sparkle. I didn't have any patterned paper that matched the colours this week so I just drew some stripes with the Canary and Grass onto some paper and used that! I did have a little circle sentiment stamped but just couldn't decide the best place to put it...everywhere I tried just didn't look right.
