WOOHOO I Got A MS Punch!

No card today, been painting ALL day..... 2 coats on both ceilings and the first coat on both rooms. We are away for the next couple of days so won't get anymore done till Sunday....quite glad really I hate painting!Well thats a fib it's doing the edging that I hate!! I love seeing the new colour fill the wall! We are going up to see my sis in Aboyne so will be off to find the craft shop in Alford she said it is not far from hers....Woohoo!

Anyway my good news for today (for me anyway, hubby thought I had gone mad jumping about the living room!) is that I managed to get the Martha Stewart Doily Punch from Dies to Die For...I have been wanting one for ages! It will probably feature on every card I make!!LOL

Passion for Promarkers 10!! and Thank You

Firstly I just want to say a BIG thank you for all the lovely comments on my new haircut! Still getting used to it.........but it is a lot quicker in the mornings!!

Just a quick little post as we are painting the girls rooms, just on a quick skive to post this challenge entry!

This is my card for PFP 10 Cool Aqua and Pastel Pink and a fab sketch! Not too happy with it but I think I am just having one of those days!

I can't remember the make of the patterned paper, but the plain papers are Dovecraft, ribbons and flowers are from stash and coloured with the PMs. I don't have any circle or oval cutters (on my wish list which is growing bigger by the day!) so just used some lids from my tubs as templates and printed off little oval shapes on my computer.

Gone for the Chop!!......and a Card!

Well today I went to get my hair done and decided to get it all chopped off!! I have had it long for ages and ages so it was time for a change.....so from this.......

To this....................What do you think!! It feels really strange..keep going to pull my hair back out the way!lol

I also got into my cubby last night and made this card..tried to go for the natural look.......

I have coloured the flowers and lace with the promarkers to match them in with the theme.Papers are Dovecraft and my usual Gorjuss Girl!

No Card just boring alterations!!

Just thought I would bore everyone with some pics of the alterations we are having done in the house, its a two bedroom but the masterbedroom is huge so we have split it in two to give the girls a wee room each.........pics aren't great cos I couldn't get a good angle.There was a door into the room just where you can see a door on the right, that has now been taken away and you go round the corner to the right to get into Judes room and Lucy's room is straight ahead. Don't know if I have explained that very well!
This is part of Lucy's room it was a big walk in cupboard but we have opened it up to give more room and left a bit on the left for a wardrobe. The photos aren't great looks much better in real life lol

This is the view from outside with the new window on the right........which are all gonna be painted brown.........I have hated the colour of the windows since the day we moved in! Some of the houses are red, some blue and some green! Don't know what they were thinking when the built them!!

I did however manage to get a wee play in my cubby today and I got some colouring done and I also started something for my BFs wee girl whose birthday is next month, can't show any pics until after cos she likes to check out my blog.........I have got her into cardmaking!

Anyway thanks for letting me waffle about the girls room!

Passion for Promarkers Number 9!

This is my entry for the PfP challenge number 9, lime green and rose pink! I have used another Dustin Pike image, the papers are from a dovecraft pad and the spotty circle I made myself with a spotty stamp and then I coloured some of the spots with the lime green, ribbon and flowers (white and cloured with the pens) are from stash.......and some scribbled stitching.........not too sure about it maybe should have done it with pink and not black.I haven't put any sentiment on as I am going to keep it for Jude as she is bound to have a pals birthday and I will put the age on then!

The girls bedrooms are looking fab, the window is in and he is doing all the door frames and doors today....the only hold up is finding somebody to come and tape the plasterboard, going to look at carpets today!

Two Quick Cards

I Managed to make these two quick cards the other day, the image is from Digistamp Boutique, the papers I think are DCWV, I have had them for ages and the sentiment I printed off on the computer.

The girls room is looking good, today he has put up the partition walls and tomorrow I think he is going to put the new window in, so hopefully it will be finished soon and we can get in and start painting..........Lucy wants her room..........BLACK.............No way!!she is only 9 I thought that would come when she was a moody teenager!lol Jude wants everything pink..........now you can see why we wanted to give them their own rooms lol!

Not much posting lately sorry, we are splitting the girls bedroom in half to give them a room each, so have spent the last few days clearing their room of toys and stuff and then moving all the furniture out and trying to find somewhere else to put it all!!! Not an easy task in our wee house..........they have their bunkbeds up in the dining room which they think is a great adventure!! Anyway he has arrived today and is currently cutting a big hole in the wall to put another window in, Jude thinks he will be finished in a day and she will have her brand new room!(if only!)

Hopefully I will get to play in my cupboard tonight and have some cards to post tomorrow............my fingers are getting twitchy need to do something!!!

Tilda Card and a Question

This is my card for today, my youngest went to a "beach" party today so I made this for her to give to her little pal(Iknow it's not remotely beachy!lol). The garden was done up amazingly......a pool,sand,palm trees,lilos what a lot of work had gone into it and according to Jude it was the best party in the world!!

I wanted to ask everyone out in blogland about their Christmas cards. Do you make them all different or do you just stick to the one design? Unsure what to do with my cards this year, the last couple of years I have just stuck to one design mainly for quickness cos I always left it too late!! Interested to know what you all do!

Promarker Challenge 8

This is my entry for this weeks Promarker Challenge........Gold and Ruby with the added extra of Jewels and Gems!

The image is from Stamptivity "Love to shop girls" set, she is my favourite out of the set, the paper is another one from BoBunny Press and the plain paper is from my scrap box. I didn't have any red flowers so I just coloured some white ones with the ruby pen and the added heart gems are ones I have had for ages!The little text stamp is from Stamping All Day and my new purchase is the fake stitching stamp which hasn't come out in the pic very well!

Charisma Cardz Alter It Challenge

Well this is it before.......

Apologies for the photo, I forgot to take a piccy before I started. so I had to go online and find one! Yummy sweets by the way they didn't last long!

And this is it................................

I had my first go at making a ribbon blossom you can find the tutorial here it has't come out great but for a first attempt I am pretty pleased with it.

I think the paper is BoBunny it was a little bit I had leftover. I have used my new stempleglede grunge stamps which are fab(thank you Jane for letting me know where you got them!) and a little Gorjuss Girl in the middle, coloured with my Pms......finally a couple of tiny roses and a leaf to finish it off! What do you think please let me know I really appreciate all the lovely comments people leave for me, it really gives my confidence a boost!

Paper Makeup Sentiments

This is my card for today.........another of the lovely sentiments from Paper Makeup Stamps, I thought it would make a lovely baby card. I have used some of the new brads I got from Poppicrafts the other day. The image I got from a friend who has a book full of cute fairy images,can't remember the name of it though! Coloured with PMs rose pink for the baby suit and ivory and blush for the skin. All the rest is bits and bobs from my cubby.

I have decorated inside too with some leftovers and I chalked the edges of the white paper but it hasn't showed up in the photo.

Unsure whether to add more to it or leave it as it is.........I think it looks okay......maybe a couple of little diamonds.....

Rainy day card

This is the card I made this afternoon, the image is from Dustin Pike........his images are really cute! The sentiment is from Paper Makeup Stamps I went on the bloghop yesterday and all the way along you got a letter to make up a word to get discount..........I did it all then when I ordered today I stupidly forgot to add in the word!!!Doh!Never mind you can use it until Friday and there are more I want to get!

Image-Dustin Pike coloured with PMs gold, black, pastel green.....sakura for the wings and glossy accents for the rain drops

Paper- We R MemoryKeepers.....I used the front and back of this paper.

This is what I spent most of the afternoon doing, with a little help from the girls until they got bored! I got out all my buttons, brads and flowers and sorted them all into colours........they where all in tubs here and there in my cupboard so now they are all sorted and I should have no trouble finding them! Just gotta organise the rest of my little cubby a bit better.......ribbons is my next challenge! If anyone has any tips for organising and storing ribbon please let me know!

Need to have a few more takeaways to get some more tubs so I can split the browns and oranges!! Hee hee!

New Stash!! and a visitor!

Look what the lovely postie delivered this morning!.....All my goodies from Poppicraft! Can't wait to get in my cubby and make some cards...I also got some great digistamps from Papermakeup stamps so will be playing with them too.........will try and get some piccies up later :)

And....................................This little fella we found yesterday in the garden, it's the biggest snail I have ever seen in our garden!!

PFP challenge and a good buy!!

Here is my entry for the challenge over at PFP , this week you have to use Cornflower Blue and Cocoa....which I think is a lovely combo!

Paper- Fiskars Daisy Patch and the plain paper is from stash, the blue paper is actually white paper coloured with my Cornflower as I didn't have a colour to match!

Image- Gorjuss Girl of course! coloured with the two colours and also Sandstone, ivory and Pastel yellow for the hair and Ivory and Blush for the skin.

The ribbon is from my stash and I also chalked the edges of the circle just to rough it up a bit.

I haven't put any sentiment on the card yet as I am not sure what to put on it!

This was my top buy of the week! from Stampingallday.co.uk unfortunately when I went on to get the link it is now out of stock......but check out the site as they have some great little stamps!Gonna be getting some more as soon as payday comes around!!I have also been on Poppicrafts as they are clearing a lot of their stock and I went a bit mad! Can't wait for the postie to bring it.......I love opening my crafty parcels it's like Christmas!!

First go at Altering a box!

Hey there...........here is my first attempt at altering something! This was a box of loveheart sweets that I gave to Hubby for his birthday..........very soppy I ordered them online and they were all printed with "I Love You"!

And here it is altered! I am really pleased with how it came out, I themed the colours to match my bedroom...think I will keep my earrings in it!

I have used My Gorjuss Girl......again! All the papers are old ones that I have had for ages. I have stamped the lilac paper with little swirls..not very clear in the photo and I have scrunched up the grey paper.........the girl is coloured with promarkers Ameythst and Cool Grey and I also used the Ameythst to clour the lace.A paper flower and some little silver ones that I have had kicking about for yonks some pearls and diamonds to finish it off!

Another little GG on the inside and some little swirls around the edges which don't show up in the photo and that is it! Please let me know what you think!:)

I have a little wooden treasure chest that I am gonna have a go at next! Could really get into this!!

Wine bottle

Had a go at making a wine bottle thingy...do you call it a label or a tag? Not anything too fancy for my first attempt.....if you wanna see a fab bottle go here to Jane's blog her bottles are beautiful!

Didn't do much today just lazed about with the girls, weather is not that great here today, so we didn't venture far. I hope the whole of the hols are not like this!!:(

Cool Blue

Another quick little card today!This is for my Mum to send to my Aunt......the paper and ribbon is actually wrapping paper set.......... I thought it was way too nice to use as wrapping paper!Sentiment is printed from the computer and that is it! Short and sweet!

Hello everyone on this gorgeous day!

Just a quick card today, yesterdays card was for my next door neighbour who has had a baby girl, thought it would be nice to make a card to give to babies big sister so she didn't feel left out.....love this little Gorjuss Girl and it looks just like her.....very simple card just some more of the paper from yesterday and I printed the sentiment of on the computer then chalked the edges of the circle. I am off on a little blog hop now to see what other good challenge blogs are out there to keep me busy during the holidays.............if anyone knows of good ones let me know thanks!
