Teacher gifts

Finally finished Judes gifts for her nursery teachers......just got to find some nice little sweets to fill them! I have still to finish the cards but I will get them finished at the weekend, got some card orders to do first....one with a minibus!! Don't know what I am going to do for that one!! The triangle gift bag is on the Splitcoaststampers site, they have loads of brilliant tutorials, you need to check it out! I used all my scrap bits and bobs to decorate them and of course my Gorjuss Girl, can't wait for payday I feel an order coming on for another one!

My back is finally better now after pulling a muscle.......wait for it........Sneezing!! My hayfever was really bad at the weekend and I spent most of Sunday sneezing, but I think I have finally found a tablet that works.........fingers crossed!

We might be taking the girls strawberry picking on Saturday up near Elgin...........so I am going to have a look for the Funkykits shop, if anyone can help with directions that would be great!

Thanks for looking!

Fathers Day Card

Feels like I haven't been on for ages................loads of lovely cards on peoples blogs to look at!
This is the card I made for the girls to give to their Dad, I had left it till the last minute to make as I had loads of orders to get finished, so it is pretty basic...........he loved it tho! There's the buttons again!!lol
I spent ages with them lying on the floor and me standing over them trying to get them both to laugh..............just as well I got it that day as the very next day the little one fell at nursery and hit her eye on the table and now has the biggest black eye I have ever seen!!!
I am still working on the rest of my teacher cards for the girls, I have decided to make bookmarks for Lucy to give her two teachers and I am making little sweetie boxes for Jude to take in for hers, hopefully I should get them finished in the next couple of days.
Cheers for stopping by! :)

Paddington bear Promarker Challenge

Here is my entry for week 4 over on the Passion for Promarkers blog the colours to use were Royal Blue and Berry Red... which I thought would be perfick for little ole Paddington Bear! I have had the stamp for a while, it came free with one of my cardmaking mags ages ago. The paper and the little tag was from a little book of papers given to me by a friend who got it with a magazine and I made the little buttons from scrap paper..........and a little bit of string from the shed lol.............I am really pleased with it as I never thought I would ever use the stamp and very nearly gave it away............glad I kept it now!
2 weeks left to go at work ...............the countdown has begun!

2 Down 4 to go!!

Made a start on the girls thank you cards for their teachers today..........lucy's first, she will be finishing p4!(I don't know where the time has gone, just seems like yesterday she was starting school and now it is little Jude who will be starting!)

Anyway back to the card....... I got the papers from The Frugal Crafter Blog which I discovered thro Debbis blog! The book image is from there too but I just cut out the books and sat a GG on the top, Lucy loved them and she picked what colours to use for each of her teachers! I am really pleased with how they have turned out. I was thinking of stamping onto candles to make as gifts for them, but I have never done it before, not sure how easy it is!lol Tips anyone?

Now I am off to have a go at the new Promarker Challenge for this week! Berry Red and Royal Blue.............I have the perfect image in mind!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Finished!

Well I finally finished it last night, but still not 100% happy with it.........just couldn't seem to get into it. Does that ever happen to anyone else? They wanted to keep it simple so I think I have done that, I always find it hard when people are quite specific about what they want, most times I like to just go with the flow and see what comes out! Anyway I hope she likes it!The tartan paper is actually wrapping paper and the stamp is from Inkadinkadoo and I punched some little tartan flowers and some ribbon from my stash. It was getting dark when I took the photo that is why you can see the flash.

Thanks for taking a look and I would appreciate any comments on this one!lol

The Sun is Shining and it's Friday!!!

Hello, no card today but I just had to take a picture of this beautiful poppy that emerged yesterday in my garden..........it's huge I wanted to get my wee one to stand next to it for scale cos it is bigger than her, but she suddenly went camera shy!lol.........not like her at all!
No cardmaking tonight cos I am off out with my girly chums for a nice nosh up........haven't been out for ages so really looking forward to it. All I managed today was some colouring of some stamped images, but my lovely Mum has taken the girls for the night so I think I will spend tomorrow morning making some cards, unless I have a hangover!lol

Bye for now

Aaarrgghh just realised it is my best mates hubbies birthday tomorrow, well I didn't forget I knew it was on the 11th just didn't realise it was the 11th tomorrow!....... anyway I had this image from Digistamp boutique coloured in when I was playing with my promarkers. The paper is old from my stash and I printed off the sentiment from the computer......he is only gonna be 36 I hope it isn't too old looking for him :(

Card Swap on CraftBubble

This is the card I made for a card swap over on CraftBubble, using the lovely paper and flowers I got from my shopping trip last month. Again using promarkers (surprise surprise!), I am not bad with the paler colours but finding it hard to get the blending right with the darker colours, just looks blotchy....will have to practice more before I post any piccies.
I used a sakura pen for the dots and band on her dress and I have added a little diamonte in her hair.

Thanks for looking

My first Challenge Entry!

This is my first go at a challenge (apart from a couple that I emailed before I had a blog).

I thought seeing as I am loving the promarkers I would have a go at the challenge over on Passion For Promarkers

The colours this week were Pumpkin and Cinnamon, really nice combo! I only realised when I had finished the card that I have cut the Gorjuss Girl a bit squint :(

I can't remember the make of the papers, I got them at the SECC, the flowers are from a stash I got on ebay and I have used chalks to try and age the white card.
From now on I am going to try and take note of what I have used to make the cards.....well I will do my best!

A lot of people I see are doing the inside of their cards...so I thought I would have a bash at that using the leftovers!
All in all I am very pleased with it.
Thanks for looking!

Lazy Sunday

Well was totally lazy today, no housework...... no cardmaking!.....nothing, well thats a fib I did do a tiny bit of weeding in the garden and actually I did wash the windows in the conservatory, a womans work is never done! LOL! It was another fab sunny day with just a couple of tiny showers so I couldn't justify sitting in my little cubby hole. So the piccy I am posting is a card I made ages ago. The Dress Up Maggie stamp from FunkyKits I saw at the show at the SECC and didn't buy cos I forgot to go back for and then it took me ages to get it online!

It makes me think of my youngest as she is always dressing up and playing with make-up!

Thanks for looking!

It's Friday!!!!!!

Well I hope that this is just a shower but we had hailstones this afternoon, huge ones! Please come back sunshine!!
This card I was asked to make for an Elvis fan, the papers I have had for ages, thought they would be good for mens cards and the little guitar button I bought at the SECC show and I coloured it in with black pen. Still trying to get the nack of distressing....think I might have to invest in one of these distressing tools everyone seems to have!Tonight I am finishing off my card for the swap on Craftbubble, I will wait until they have received it before I post a piccie!
I have resisted all week but have finally given in and ordered another 6 promarkers....
Woohoo the sun has just come back out.. off to sit outside til the next cloud comes!!LOL

Loving this Weather!!

Evening All!
This weather is Fab! The girls are loving playing in the paddling pool after school, long may it last!
This is an engagement card I was asked to make the other day, I have had this stamp for a while now and this was its first outing! I have spent most of the last few days playing with my promarkers, I am up to 25 now!, trying to get the blending right. There are some great tutorials on youtube, which I have found very helpful, Just need to get some more colours I think! They truly are addictive!

Enjoy the rest of the day!
