A Grand Day Out!!

It's Phil's birthday today...and a beautiful day too.  So he decided that a day out at the beach was called for!
It really is a gorgeous run out to Arisaig...should have stopped to take some pics....you are amongst the hills and mountains then you come round the bend and you can see the sea!  I still shout out...makes me feel like a kid again!  The only bummer is now that they have improved the road (it used to be single track most of the way and it is much better) we don't go over the little stone bridge that my dear old Dad always told us was the fairy bridge and on the way out  we would all shout out "hello Fairies!" and the on the way home "goodbye Fairies"..makes me feel a bit sad as it will be ten years this August since he died.....he would always come up with things to distract us and stop us getting bored on car journeys.

We bought this little beach shelter when we went to Cornwall last year...great for me... being a ginger I burn way too easily!lol

Took this one just before we left....the girls didn't want to leave!

I know just how beautiful Arisaig is, we had a few very lovely days out there! They were still busy with the road last time we went, bet it is a lot quicker! Fabulous photos!
Have a great Easter Weekend!
Happy Crafting, Debxx

So love the pictures Jane, and the beach is gorgeous. Your story about the fairies is so sweet and in a way makes me sad how we're changing the world so quickly, thanks for sharing, your family is beautiful!

Hi Jane...
What a beautiful day! I live 10 minutes from the beach in Bognor but don't go as often as I should...a bit put off by the crowds and it's not sand but stones.
Your beach looks wonderful and I love the end photo. A scrapbook page in the making...
