Passion For Promarkers #36

Hi all, Can't believe it is Friday again so soon! This week has just flown by!
This is my card for Passion For Promarkers Challenge which is to use Pastel Green and Blossom.
And I know that this is a Christmas card but I promised myself that I would try and make a few each week so that I don't get into such a mess come December....I felt awful buying cards to send!
This card has been made mostly from scraps......another challenge I have given myself as my scrap box is overflowing!
The Merry Christmas paper is from a book of freebie papers that came with one of my cardmaking mags.........Silver peel off strips, snowflakes and tree are all from my stash.

Anya has been coloured with Pastel Green and Blossom-clothes......Burnt Sienna/Walnut-hair....Ivory/Blush and Dusky Pink-skin.......and I have added lots of stickles.

Passion for Promarkers #35

This is my entry for challenge 35 over at Passion for Promarkers which this week is any colour but a girly theme!
This is an 18th Birthday card I have been asked to make so thought that would suit a girly theme!
The papers are MME and came free with my cardmaking mag!! The stamping Bella is another one I got from my sis for Christmas and I have coloured her with Cool Aqua and Magenta and added some stickles....the sentiment is a circle stamp from Stamping All Day.......must invest in some number stamps cos I am not happy with the peel off numbers but it will have to do for now! To finish off I have added some flowers and brads from my stash, a tiny bit of tulle and a small key that I got when I was at the SECC craft show. (Must book my ticket for March!)

Tilda with roses

I have had these papers for a while now...think they are K&CO?..so challenged myself to use them! What a dreary photo..........and it was taken in the morning in the conservatory and it still comes out all dark! The Tilda image was kindly given to me by Jane(Jane's Lovely Cards) and coloured with my Promarkers.

The flowers from my stash are cream but I have used one of my PMs to colour the tips and added some stickles.

A close up of the cute Tilda........really need to invest in some Tildas I still only have one! Does anyone know if Magnolia will be at the SECC in March?

On another note we have booked our holiday for the summer....we are going to make the long long trip down to Cornwall...I have always wanted to go there! The girls can't wait cos we will be right near the beach!

Thanks for stopping by!

Just a Question?

Hi guys
Just been thinking about the summer hols this year, and we are thinking of going down Cornwall/Devon way and staying at a Parkdean site....................just wondered if anyone has been on one before or where is a good place to go and stay with a 9 and 5 year old?

Too Slow!!!

This was to be my entry for this weeks Passion for Promarkers...but I left it too late to get it finished! Got it finished last night but it was too dark to take a pic and I just didn't have time this morning......to be honest I did start it last week but then I just hit a wall and didn't know what else to do with it....why is it sooooooo hard to do male cards?.......I always get stuck when it comes to embellishments and I am left thinking it looks to plain and boring!

I am definitely gonna go out today and invest in some cosy snow boots.....if there are any left in the shops!

This was a pic I took yesterday from our house......beautiful chilly day clear blue skies.....on the right is the tip of Ben Nevis and on the left is the Nevis Range ski centre...on a clear day like this you can see the tows.....and if you use the binoculars you can see everyone skiing.........I really should have a go....hubby took Lucy up yesterday and they had a great time....me and Jude stayed at home and played the Wii....how lazy.....we just don't like getting cold!!

Happy New Year & Passion for Promarkers #33

Happy New Year everyone! Can't believe I haven't been on since the 27th!
This is my card for the first challenge of the year over at Passion for Promarkers which is a sketch and the theme of love. ( I was chuffed to bits to see that I had won a Sugar Nellie stamp in the Mega Christmas Challenge!!)

The papers are from Sandylion and Core'dinations and one I can't remember the name of...sorry! I have distressed the edges with my NEW distressing tool instead of risking my fingers doing it with the scissors like I used to do! and doodled along the edges with a fine black pen...I have also stickled around some of the edges too. I stamped some little hearts in the two corners to match in with the cute wee Tilda image that I was given by Jane (Jane's Lovely Cards) in a swap. The flowers are from my stash and I made the little hearts myself.

Here's a close up of Tilda with her hearts...I think they are supposed to be biscuits...never mind! I didn't keep a note of the colours I used...I know Rose Pink and Blossom were two of them! Will remember to keep a note next time!

Thought I would share this lovely pic that hubby took...these frosty cobwebs were all around his shed the other day! We still have loads of snow........the girls are hoping that it is still here next week when they have to back to school so they can get some days off like all the kids in other regions did this week!
