My First Canvas.......

This is what I have been working on for the last few weeks and can finally post it as the recipient has now received it.  I made it for my God- Daughter for her birthday and she is most definately on Team Edward!
The image is a Greeting Farm Digi coloured with my Promarkers and loads of stickles for his dazzling skin....you can just about make it out on the pic!
I used my Distress Inks to cover the edges of the canvas....the paper I can't remember the make sorry...but thought it would be perfect with the apple on!  I have used both sides of it on this. The flowers have been coloured with my PM's too...the little centres are made from organza ribbon I can't remember where I saw the tutorial...you melt the edges over a candle.....a really nice effect.  I have added some skeleton leaves and the dark leaves have been sprayed with Glimmer Mist.  I also added some stickles and Liquid Pearl to the edges.
This little frame was actually a little mirror...bought a few of them for 50p in Au Naturale.....just took the mirror out and added this quote which I had printed off on my computer.
I am sooooo pleased with how this has turned out!
Thanks for having a look...hope you like it too!

Tickled Pink Monthly Challenge........

I am enjoying some me time in my cupboard and this is my second challenge I have given a go at this week! There is a sketch to follow over at Tickled Pinks Monthly Challenge
So I thought I would have another go at an easel card but try a circle this time as the sketch has circles on it. I still don't have any circle dies yet for my Bigshot, so drew round a saucer...don't look to close, one of the circles is a bit wonky! I have used one of the fab digi stamps from Tickled Pink, which were on sale for a limited period...six of them managed to fall into my online shopping cart!Lol! She has been coloured with my Promarkers....hair- Caramel, Burnt Sienna and Umber.....Dress- Olive, Moss, Crimson and Burgundy
The striped paper is from Basic Grey...my last little piece, will have to go looking for more, I love this paper!
The flowers, diamonds and ribbon are from my stash.
Had another stab at making a fancy pin...will have to go looking for some fancy headed pins me thinks!
Hope you like it and thanks for coming for a look!

WOYWW #62........

Not another Wednesday already...that means I will be back at work next week Boo Hoo! Those 6 weeks went by far too quickly!
I will not waffle on too long as I am currently sipping a Lemsip, with my nose and eyes streaming!( who gets a cold in the middle of summer!!!!)
My new toys are sitting on the left of my desk...I found the artstix in my sisters old room at Mums when she was having a clear out...she obviously didn't want them if she left them, so they found their way to my cubbie!lol
There are a few Brownie badges that I have to sew glue (stitched the first couple she got on but they were a bugger to sew on!) on to Lucy's sash
Pink Spotty notebook is there for Julia lol...After reading her post on all her notebooks I went out and bought one and I am keeping notes of challenges I enter and goodies I have seen online!

Gone Fishing.....

Dug out the old watercolour pencils the other day to have a play and came up with this card.
Image is a lovely one from LOTV...paper I think is Rusty Pickle, I have edged all the papers with Walnut Stain. The piece of net is a washing tablet bag..coloured with my PM's... (Jane from Jane's Lovely Cards has used the tablet bags on a few of her creations..thanks for the inspiration Jane!)  I cut the little Gone Fishing tag from the paper and added some Glossy Accents, it has curled a wee bit cos the paper is thin but I kinda like it like that.
Thanks for looking!

Fairy Glen.....

Not much cardmaking going on in the cupboard these last few days....there is something I have been working on but I can't show it as the person it is intended for reads my blog!
Today we went for a walk to whats known locally here as The Fairy Glen....I think the path is part of the Great Glen Way and along the way is a part of forest that a lady has been decorating over the last few years.  It started very small and over the years people come and add things...all she asks for is a little donation which she gives to charity.  The girls made some ...what we in our house call sparkle catchers...basically twirly wire with beads and sparkly things threaded on...so we took them up to tie to one of the trees.(Stupid me tho never took a pic!)
It looks really dark but believe me it was a beautiful sunny day!!

Jude loved all the fairy houses!
It really is gorgeous...you feel like a kid again walking through it and looking for things! There are fairies hiding in the trees......fairy circles...teddies having a picnic! If anyone ever comes to Fort William let me know and I will give you directions!lol

So when we got home Jude wanted to make her own fairy garden........

She had all her shells from Newquay so she made one into a little pond..we put some tiny plants in...a chair from the dolls house and lots of sparkly glitter!

The sun is actually shining here now for the first time in days so I am off to sit in the garden!
