Saturated Canary Challenge #14 & Paper Paper

Here we go with Challenge Number 14  at Saturated Canary Challenges and this fortnight it is

“Thinking of You”

I have used the lovely Jenny and coloured her with my Promarkers...the paper is from my paper stash...I spent just about a whole evening colouring her hair...I hope you like!!

Have you Smashed yet?

I have only just recently come across the Smashing phenomenon and have been admiring some gorgeous pages on the Smash*aholics Facebook page....So yesterday while in town with my girlies I bought a sketchbook from WH Smiths....I sat staring at for ages, not a clue where to start...I was never really into scrapbooking, so I decided to stick to what I know best and that is my stamps...more to the point Saturated Canary and Simply Sassys. So that is what I am going to theme this book on.

I have chosen these two as they are the crafter style stamps to start of my book with.....I have loads of ideas now in my head but I have a few card orders to get out of the way first before I can play!

I have used my Promarkers to colour Kate Krafty...just the Cool Greys and for Copica I have just added a few dots to the background.  I have doodled the bunting myself and coloured again with my Cool Greys

Saturated Canary 13, Military Girl....

Here we go with Challenge Number 13  at Saturated Canary Challenges and this fortnight it is

“TWINE”

I have used Military Girl for my card and the only twine I have is the brown stuff!

I have spent ages on her trousers trying the camouflage look and I am really pleased with how it came out!  I love her hair too....I have just had mine cut a bit like this so I am going to need a new avatar for my blog!

The netting is a washing powder bag coloured with my promarkers and the camo paper was a freebie from the internet.

Krista's Kids Card Swap......

Jude and Lucy took part in the kids card swap which the lovely Krista organised....Jude was paired with Mackenzie who sounds like Judes twin...they both love the same things!!

Top pic is the card that Jude made for Mackenzie...we found out she does gymastics just like Jude so she had to use this gorgeous SC digi...she sat for ages colouring her soooo carefully determined not to go out the lines!

And this is the gorgeous card she received from Mackenzie...she loves that it has her name on it!! 

Lucy's is still on its way across the ocean so I will post that when it arrives! 

Fab Weekend

Thought you might like a nosey at the goodies I bought this weekend at the craft show at the SECC.

Me and the Hubby headed down yesterday morning and did Ikea in superquick time, arrived at the Crowne Plaza at half three so couldn't resist going to see what the chances were of getting into the show for a wee nosey round before today...the lady at the door was lovely and gave me a complimentary ticket in reverse...which I knew nothing about! Apparently the day you go to the show when you are done if you go and see this lady at the door you can get a complimentary ticket to go back the next day!

So I got it all checked out...a few of the stalls were pretty empty at that time of the day but I bought a few bits and bobs and then today I headed straight in first thing and knew exactly were I wanted to go and was done by half ten!!  So we headed to Braehead for a nosey round and bought a couple of things for the girls and then headed back up the road and was home for four!!

There are 275 cards and envelopes..so that should keep me in stock until next March!  LOADS of DS tape too lol!  A few chipboard door hangers and some bunting and of course some doilies!

And the lovely postcard stamp from LOTV...they had sold out of the postmark stamp set so will have to order that online....and a cute little Union Jack bunting stamp.

Oh and we went out for the best curry ever at India Quay......it was gorgeous!!

Saturated Canary #12..Wedding Day

Oh I am soooooo late posting this....I have been given more hours at work...a mini promotion!lol....which means I am now out at 9 in the morning instead of 11.30...needless to say it has taken me a couple of weeks for the girls and me to get into a routine...it also means that I have to send  Jude off herself to walk to school (not really herself as Lucy does walk too but apparently it's not cool to walk to school with your little sister!especially whe you are going to be starting High School after the summer lol) so I do feel a bit mean sending my wee baby off herself..but she loves it as she feels a bit more grown up and she will be going into P4 after the summer...it's also only 10 mins away from the house...listen to me trying to make myself feel better about it! But the extra money will come in very handy lol

Anyway enough of my waffle lets get on with the job in hand.....

I have used a heart shaped doilie on my card...and I have also rolled up a circle doilie to make my flower...need to stock up on some more when I head down to the SECC next weekend!
