Saturated Canary Challenge #52

Time for another Saturated Canary Challenge!! This fortnight the lovely Vicky has chosen Shabby Chic!

Now the details....

I haven't really done much Shabby Chic before so after a quick few hours on Pinterest I had an idea of the style
I have used the beautifully cute Butterfly Baby  lots of layers, distressing and inking of edges and I am pretty pleased with the result!  I am even happy with my flower arranging too!

On a sadder note....I don't know if any of my lovely followers remember the guinea pigs we got from the rescue centre a couple of years ago....well Jude's one, Coco, died on Monday when I got home from work, she had been poorly for a wee while and I think her wee body just gave up....it was very sad.... and I had one of the worst moments for a parent...telling Jude when she got home from school...her heart was broken

This was the letter she wrote when she was at school the next day....I had tears streaming down my face when she showed it to me!

Saturated Canary Challenge #51

OOOo late again sorry!
We have a good one for you over at Saturated Canary Challenges this fortnight....the fab Ruby gave us the challenge to use a "Colouring Technique", so No lines, fancy backgrounds......you get the idea?

Now the details....

Now I have to admit I kinda freaked a bit when I saw the No lines as I have only tried it maybe once or twice...and I know I could have gone for a fancy background but I like to challenge myself! lol  I chose Mousey Mo   (little secret...chose this one has she only has one eye showing and that seems to be the bit that I struggle with...shhhhh don't tell)  I was cross-eyed by the time I had finished....you certainly have to concentrate!
I took sooooo long to colour her that I decided to let her be the main focus of the card and kept the rest pretty simple....

We have had drama here this past week.......Jude was sitting on a fence at the local playground chatting to her pals and fell off....resulting in a broken wrist!! For those who follow my blog...the SAME one she broke and dislocated last year.....I was so scared that she had dislocated the elbow again cos that would have meant a trip to Inverness to get it pinned....eeek! But thankfully it is a small break and she will get the stookie......scots word for cast ;0).......off on the 16th!

The Sugar Bowl Challenge

It has been so long since I have entered any challenges and The Sugar Bowl has always been one of my faves....it's where my love of stamping began!
My wee blog has been lacking some love recently so I think I need to get myself out there a bit more ;0)

So in my attempt to build up some boy cards (I have made 5 in the last few days) I have used this lovely boy and his teddy....coloured with my Copics....took me ages to do the teddy!
Thanks for popping by

It's a scorcher here today, so I am away back outside!

A Gorjuss Birthday......

This is the card I made for my very best friend.....I knew she loved this Gorjuss Girl.....she loves cross stitching the Gorjuss Girls and made me one for my fortieth which I love and has pride of place on the wall in my hall so you can see it as soon as you walk in my front door.
She is coloured with my Copics mostly Ws and I have also inked the edges with Pumice Stone....I cannot remember the  name of the paper as it is a wee piece from my scrap box.
I hope you like....my mojo seems to be coming back...that's 3 cards in the last few days....normally it has been taking me a week just to do one!

Saturated Canary Challenge #47

Time for another Saturated Canary Challenge! Number 47!
Maria Therese has chosen this fortnight and she has chosen a theme of "CELEBRATION"
please show us your card, etc Celebrating something!

Now the details....

I am celebrating Summer.....now I know we are having pants weather here in the Highlands but school is out for seven weeks and as I am a Dinner Lady I am off too!!! Woop!!

I have used Smokin Hot for my card....pretty clean and simple again, I have been slightly slow on the old cardmaking just now...I have been getting a bit too hung up on the colouring, there are so many fab peeps out there who's colouring just blows me away and I have been doubting myself a wee bit and concentrating too much on how I colour.  I have loads of images coloured....it has just taken me so long I kinda lose the will a bit to make a card with them......but as I am off I have given myself a kick up the butt and not worry about the colouring and just get making again!

The paper is a magazine freebie I have had for ages.....some Fishtail dies using some scraps and a wee bit of Washi Tape..........*sigh* so wish I looked like this in a bikini!lol

Head on over to the blog and see what my teamies have come up with....stunning does not describe!!

Now for the details....
You must use either a:
Saturated Canary Digi
Saturated Canary rubber stamp,
or Simply Sassy rubber stamp
I have used the lovely barefooted Picnic which you can get hold of HERE.......coloured with my Copics...the papers were freebies from a magazine which I have had for years
