About Me

2012

I am 39 years old…very nearly 40 and dreading it!......

I was born in Glasgow and lived there until I was 9….we came to Fort  William in the Highlands of Scotland  on a caravan holiday and my Mum and Dad loved it so we all moved here the following year!

I have a younger sister who lives over on the East coast of Scotland, she works away a lot offshore inspecting oil rigs, she was never an indoor person!... and I miss her loads………..

I am a pretty shy person and I am always quite happy to sit back and let everyone else do the talking…sometimes I am even too shy to leave comments on blogs..whats that all about!!.....
(Also my tattoo)

I am married to Phil, the best Hubby in the world and a brilliant dad to our two girls!
He took me out for a curry for our first date and a year later he proposed when we went out for a curry….did I mention that I love currys?......

Both my girls were 9lb’ers and I can’t believe how grown up they are getting…makes me sad…..

Lucy is 11, is bit of a tomboy and has either her Ipod or DS permanently attached to her!  She will be starting High School this year OMG!......

Jude is 7 loves anything pink and sparkly or anything to do with dinosaurs, she also has her own “Wedding Box” after watching Bride Wars!......

There have been a few movies filmed here in and around Fort William, and my Dad was an extra  in one called Restless Natives filmed in the 80’s....it was comedy about two young lads who hold up tour buses and in one scene my dad, who played a policeman, had to interview a dutch woman who had been on one of the buses…years later I meet Phil who is her son!! Weird or what!  I was so strange going to see it at the cinema and seeing my dad on the big screen!  He loved the whole experience and I miss him loads, he passed away in 2001………..

I used to be a window dresser for The Edinburgh Woollen Mill which I loved apart from having to drive round the whole of Scotland…I do miss my wee turquoise Corsa though………

I have 3 tattoos….a small rosebud with two tiny hearts on my hip that I have had for years, the hearts I had added when I met Phil……..the Chinese symbol for love at the top of my arm, I had two little butterflies added for each of my girls and an Amy Brown fairy on my lower back………..

For nearly 12 years I worked for Nevisport but was made redundant in 2007 now I  work at the local High School as a dinner lady so I get loads of fab holidays with my girls!........
